Could your lost pet be at the Guilford County Animal Shelter? HOW TO FIND YOUR PET

Guilford County Animal Shelter Pet Therapy Day

Pet Therapy Days - Every Tuesday at the Shelter

Pet Therapy Information

Pet Therapy Visits are every Tuesday of every month. This is a rewarding program that benefits the various recipients who are served with a visit from a great shelter pet. For people who do not have an opportunity to get out and about, the respite program can bring a smile and a long forgotten memory back to them. Once you experience the pleasure you and a therapy pet have brought into someones day, you will want to be a part of this program again. You may be surprised at what you, the volunteer, gets from the experience and the chosen pet gets out on an adventure for the afternoon away from the shelter. This is a true win-win opportunity for everyone involved. Can you volunteer to help with Pet Therapy Visits?

Rabies Clinics has a need for volunteers too!

The animal shelter provides low cost Rabies and Microchip Clinics to the public up to twice a month. Volunteers would assist customers with paperwork, as well as assist the veterinarians giving the vaccinations or chips.
